Battery Observers reported considerable movement of transport animals along MAIDOS – KRITHIA Road.

1900 No. 3 gun fired 4 rds (2 Time Shrapnel Fuze 1.9, 2 P.S) at slope + crest of PLATEAU 400, N. end of SURPRISE GULLY (Sq 68-b-6) at ranges of 915x + 950x, in retaliation to enemy gun firing on LONESOME PINE.  Effective bursts of shrapnel obtained against a small party observed in one trench + parapets damaged.
