Mena Camp
Monday
January 25 1915
Came off guard
at revallie and went out with the guns to the hills behind the Pyramids. Some of our horses took bad and we had to
replace them out of the Amm column. Left
the guns out there with a guard over them and rode the horses back. They are getting very thin and are suffering
from sand colic.
Monday 25th January
At work on manoeuvre area. Good work done. Col
Christian "jumped" my portion of ground. Horses now getting new
ration and will soon improve. Lecture at night in our mess tent by Colonel
Hobbs.
Criticism of practice of last week. Many points noted.
