Artillery Brigade Headquarters, performing guard duty over a wagon on stores & kit bags
in Egypt, September 1915 - whilst the artillerymen of the Brigade fought alongside their
guns in the trenches at Gallipoli, & number of men from the 3rd F.A.B. Headquarters &
3rd F.A.B. Ammunition Column remained in Egypt looking after the Brigade's horses &
equipment.

A bit better to-day. Had to get a return of equipment for Battery & went round to gun detachments. Fairly cool but a nice day. Saw Jack Fowles.

Sept. 5
(Captain William Charles Waite, temporary O/C 7th Battery)
04.25 No. 3 Gun fired 12 rds H.E. at "BIRD TRENCH" on E. slope of HARRIS RIDGE in cooperation with demonstration by 2nd Light Horse Bge. (vide Operation Order of 4-9-15 by Brigadier General Ryrie) Range 575x. There was not sufficient light for observation of round.
All zones extremely quiet during the day.
