Arabian Sea
Sunday November 22, 1914
The concert last night was pretty good, our Colonel gave us some songs, only it was hot sitting all together in a crowd. The presperation is just running down like water. Every body is writing letters for the post at Aden, we are getting pretty near now. Lost my white hat last week and today a sailor comes up to me with it washed. He said he found it and I could give him 3d for washing it. I hadn’t 3d on me and said I would owe it to him. We had fine plum pudding for dinner today but tonight we got some stewed prunes sent down to us and in less than it takes to tell they got up and wanted to fight us so we heaved them to the fish and got cheese instead.
