Don MacL. came over with the 50 p.t. that Jim sent over yesterday.  The Third Brigade are going out to Bi at 7.30 pm tonight and reached our manouvering grounds about 9 pm and after tieing our horses up we left the permanent drivers on picquet and then gunners and spare drivers got picks and shovels and we proceeded to our grounds where we had to dig gun pits.  We took the guns out with us and then sent the teams back.  Then all hands started on the digging.  We had to use sand bags for the walls and it was a fine pit after completion.  The D. sub got theirs finished first.  We then put the guns in and left for the Wagon line.  The 9th Btry were doing some firing at 10 pm and it looked great.
